Feeling Spooky Advent by Claire Vincent for Love Poppet began as a Halloween stitch-along (SAL) in 2025. Now available as a complete printed pattern, this whimsical design brings together 31 Halloween-themed motifs surrounding the words "Spooky Halloween."
From black cats, ghosts, and jack-o'-lanterns to bats, spiders, witches' hats, and other creepy little characters, each square offers a different detail to discover. The individual motifs make this a particularly enjoyable project to stitch throughout October, completing one design each day as Halloween approaches.
The sampler combines traditional Halloween imagery with playful colors, including orange, purple, green, teal, and black. The original model was stitched on misty blue Zweigart Evenweave, giving the finished design a wonderful vintage Halloween appearance.
Although this is a larger project, Feeling Spooky Advent is suitable for competent beginners. Most of the design uses full cross stitches, with just a few decorative long stitches. With 21 DMC thread colors and more than 18,000 stitches, it offers plenty of stitching enjoyment for those who appreciate detailed seasonal projects.
The printed pattern includes both color and black-and-white charts and is packaged in a protective cello bag.
