Mowool is made from 100% brushed British wool. The fibers are worsted spun before being brushed, creating a soft halo around the yarn while retaining the natural advantages of wool. British wool's inherent crimp and elasticity help it recover through wear, while its ability to trap air provides natural insulation.
The length of the wool fibers is particularly important to Mowool. Once brushed, those fibers create generous loft without corresponding weight, giving the yarn the fuzzy, luxurious appearance associated with mohair while remaining entirely British sheep's wool.

About the Thatch Colorway
Thatch is a complex golden brown with yellow and muted green worked through the color. From a distance, the overall impression is a warm yellow-brown or ochre. Look closely at the brushed fibers, however, and the color becomes considerably more interesting.
Individual tones of golden yellow, earthy brown, and subdued green mingle throughout the yarn. None behaves like a sharp contrasting color. Instead, they work together to create the sort of irregular, layered coloring found in dried grasses, weathered vegetation, and other natural materials.

A Note About the Color
