Made from 100% US-grown, mulesing-free Merino wool, this yarn is spun in North Carolina and hand-dyed in Freia’s North Adams, Massachusetts studio using environmentally gentle acid dyes. The fibers are lightly felted during dyeing to enhance strength while preserving Merino’s soft, lofty texture. Perfect for shawls, wraps, and fine-gauge garments, it balances artistry, quality, and comfort.

The Dirty Hippie colorway is a vibrant celebration of color — swirling pinks, blues, greens, and golds combine in a free-spirited gradient that captures the essence of creativity and joy.
